Hi, I’m Yanan “Lance” Lu, a Master’s student in Biomedical Informatics at Harvard Medical School. I hold a B.A. in Data Science and Molecular & Cell Biology from UC Berkeley. My previous work at UCSF focused on applying natural language processing to radiology reports and conducting medical imaging analysis.
Currently, at the Bitterman lab, I’m developing explainable medical vision-language models for multimodal tasks, aiming to enhance clinical decision-making and promote fairness and ethics in healthcare. I’m passionate about integrating innovative solutions into medical practice to ensure equitable and effective outcomes for all patients.
