Jack Gallifant, MBBS, MSc

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Hello, I'm Jack Gallifant. I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the AI in Medicine program at Mass General Brigham and Harvard Medical School. Originally from the UK, where I trained as a physician and developed digital tools for the NHS, my current research is deeply rooted in exploring how medical knowledge is encoded in AI, particularly large language models.

I am passionate about improving the benchmarking of these models and building scalable systems that adapt to growing medical knowledge and complexity. My aim is to bridge the gap between clinical practice and data science, ensuring that AI models align with dynamic clinical knowledge bases and shifts in societal values. Through this work, I strive to enhance healthcare delivery and influence health policy effectively.
